Progress Update - First 6 Months

Since becoming operational in July 2025, the AMO has engaged with all police forces and Regional Organised Crime Units (ROCUs), reviewed existing practices, and begun building the foundations for a unified national approach.

What we’ve delivered so far

Since July 2025, the AMO has:

• Defined its mission, vision and values 
• Engaged with all police forces and ROCUs 
• Reviewed current asset management practices and procurement approaches 
• Supported PDS with the development of the Asset Recovery IT (ARIT) system 
• Worked with the Home Office on policy development relating to asset recovery and asset management 
• Established international links with AMOs across Europe 
• Begun planning for a national procurement framework 
• Launched the AMO Knowledge Hub and LinkedIn presence
